Our review:
“It was definitely ‘All That Jazz’ and ‘Razzle Dazzle’ and more, last night at the @chicagoinau musical at @capitoltheatresydney! I took a girlfriend with me and being a total newbie to Chicago and purposely going into it not knowing anything about the show, I wasn’t sure what to expect but loved it! Chicago is all about murder, greed, exploitation, corruption, adultery and more in the town of Chicago. I was blown away at the outstanding cast, every main act and the supporting crew just dazzled on stage with perfect singing, dancing and acting routines which partnered with the flawless orchestra kept the audience captivated throughout the show. My favourite acts on the night would have to be Zoë Ventura as Velma Kelly, Peter Rowsthorn as Amos Hart and Asahi Goodman as Matron ‘Mama’ Morton. Chicago the Musical is a brilliant performance and perfect for a date night or friends night. The costumes are inline with this racy musical and so well made. Definitely age recommendations above 13 years+ as it contains adult themes, minor violence and risqué depictions and mentions recommended for mature audiences. Lots of merch and special drinks available on the night.”
