Parramatta's name comes from the Dharug word for "the place of the eels"; these fascinating animals still thrive in the Parramatta River.
Come and discover our amazing eels in this engaging program which focuses on the wildlife and environs of the local Parramatta River. The program includes storytelling, musical fun with eel puppets and collaborative construction of an imaginary riverscape. Children will learn to protect natural environment while creating their ideal eel habitat.
