Pod Playground at the National Arboretum - Canberra - Review
I want to go back to Canberra already! I don't know why seen as it is a very quiet city but I love it's cultural identity. There are so many great places to visit and some nice food spots there too. All of which are very kid friendly. We need to go back soon!
One of the cool places we visited on the Queen's birthday long weekend was the unique nature themed Pod Playground at the National Arboretum Canberra where children can play in giant acorn cubby houses and banksia pods - so pretty. It's smaller than it looks but still very impressive and big enough for kids!
Little climbers will love it! Little Miss wasn't brave enough to do it all as some spots were dark inside but I would have certainly given it a go if I was small enough to fit - how awesome!
To her delight, there were a number of swings and basket swings available at the other end of the playground near the front entrance.
There is also an area for babies and toddlers to play in the sand, hide in pods and go down a little slide as well as a climbing structure near the giant acorns.
Entry to the Pod playground and the National Arboretum Canberra is free however parking is paying at various rates. You can take the kids' bikes and/or scooters and go down the zig zag path or enjoy a stroll and enjoy the beautiful scenery and beautiful architecture of the National Arboretum.
