Tiny Tours: Ant to Apple

Without insects, there would be less food on your table.

Celebrate the opening of the new Antopia exhibition and discover the unseen heroes of our food system—ants and other insects! This tour takes young explorers on a journey to learn how insects support everything from pollination to pest control, with entry to Antopia included for a deeper dive into their fascinating world.

In Antopia, visitors shrink to the size of ants to experience an immersive, interactive adventure inside a bustling ant colony. With vibrant pathways, glowing light trails, and engaging projections that respond to your movements, Antopia reveals the hidden world of ants in stunning detail. Marvel at 3D sculptures, nurture baby ant eggs, and join worker ants in their daily tasks—all while uncovering the secrets of this incredible superorganism.

Children and their adults will explore the Forest Gallery, Gandel Gondwana Garden, Bugs Alive, and the Antopia exhibition.

Developed for early years audiences 3 to 5 years. Please contact our bookings team on 13 11 02 or email us at mvbookings@museum.vic.gov.au for children older than 5 years. Tickets include entry to the museum and the Children's Gallery.
