#melbourne Jo and her son headed to the media preview of the brand NEW @jurassicworldexhibition a few days ago and had a hands-on dino loaded experience like no other! Visitors can ‘hop-on’ a ferry and discover Jurassic World from now until October 2024! (Tickets via link in bio).
Here’s @jomacgregor_melbourne ’s review: “Little dinosaur lovers will not want to leave - but neither will the parents! The whole exhibition demonstrates the most incredible attention to detail. The cast members are the true heroes who really make families feel like they REALLY have stepped into a real life exhibit/enclosure for dinosaurs! Every section is different, yet interactive in its own way - in some sections, children can pet baby dinosaurs, use binoculars to search for dinosaurs in the hills, dig for fossils or use touch screens to see inside of baby Dino eggs. Upon entering, children are given an “Explorer Guide” booklet where they can tick off different “I spy” style elements throughout the exhibition. If successful in finding all of the hidden items, they will be gifted a special Jurassic World badge to take home!
Notes for parents: Toilets are by the main entrance and, although visitors can return to these facilities at any point, it is best to make use of them on the way in. Please ask the staff if you need access a space allocated for baby change table use or a quiet space to breastfeed.
Street parking is available in surrounding streets (but make sure you find a spot for at least 2 hours as 1 hour at the exhibition with kids just isn’t enough time.) If arriving by public transport, take the tram to Stop 21-Brunswick Town Hall/ Sydney Road, Brunswick and then walk for 7 mins (500 metres) OR a tram to Jewell and walk for 9 mins (700 metres.) Outside food is not allowed inside the exhibition BUT there is a food truck out the front of the venue that sells coffee, milkshakes, ice-cream and some cookies and sweets.”
